Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) Commissioner N. Srikanth ordered the officials to strictly adhere to Andhra Pradesh Building Rules, 2012 in giving approvals for new buildings and layouts and ensure that the existing constructions were in compliance with the rules thereof. CRDA officials have to be particularly vigilant on the approvals given by village panchayats where there was ample scope for violations, he observed.
At a review meeting, Mr. Srikanth sought information on the approvals given in the last one year, court cases and other information to facilitate follow-up action in the wake of irregularities taking place in the real estate sector. Notices have to be served to those who created new layouts in violation of the stated rules, and action taken in a week.
