Institute for construction workers soon in Noida



The NCR wing of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers` Associations of India (CREDAI), in collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation, will open an institute to train and provide growth opportunities to construction workers. Lack of trained workers has resulted in the slowing down of many projects. The institute is expected to start functioning in Noida from September.

Deepak Kapoor, the president of CREDAI (western UP), said, "Flow of labourers from rural belts to cities to work on construction projects has gone down because of employment schemes in villages. Projects are thus getting hampered. While the real estate is the only sector that provides employment to illiterate people and there is a huge scope for employment here, workers don`t feel motivated to continue.
