After Noida, it is Greater Noida's turn to upload details of group housing real estate projects on its website. The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) on Thursday said that they have uploaded details of realty projects, which have so far been granted completion certificates. Completion certificates granted to 40 projects up to May 11, 2016 have been uploaded on the Authority's website at www.greaternoida.com. Home owners can click on the link, 'completion detail of group housing' on homepage and get the required information, officials said.
According to GNIDA officials, the move comes following repeated laments by home buyers about their inability to procure information about the status of real estate projects in Greater Noida. "We have been getting scores of complaints from several home buyers saying that the builders were misguiding them about the status of completion certificates issued by us," said P.C Gupta, Additional CEO, GNIDA. "We have also received information that many builders are giving possession of property to home buyers without the requisite completion certificates," he added. "This is a violation of norms. We have also issued a public notice regarding this on May 12," he said.
Gupta further urged the public to look up details of their respective project on Greater Noida's website before they take possession of their property or before investing in any property. "Details include whether full completion or part completion has been granted to the developer. Where we have given only part completion, the number of units which are covered are also mentioned for respective projects," the ACEO said. "We have also mentioned which tower, block has been granted the completion. The location of the project, plot number and its sector has also been uploaded," he said.
So far Authority has granted 22 projects in Greater Noida with full completion certificates, while 14 projects have been given part completion while 4 projects have been given temporary occupancy certificates. Greater Noida has about 150-180 completion certificates pending with outstanding dues of almost Rs 4,000 crores.
