Modi gives express push to NCR infrastructure

PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of KGP and KMP expressways, with a capital outlay of Rs 13,000 crore, on November 5. Experts say that PM Modi has demonstrated his commitment to rev up infrastructural and industrial development of the NCR, as he had stepped in--so early in his term--to push these mega projects that were hanging fire for over a decade.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the twin expressways, Kundli Ghaziabad-Palwal (KGP) and Kundli Manesar-Palwal (KMP), on November 5, 2015. The PM also flagged off the project to widen the Delhi-Chandigarh sector of NH-1 on November 5--the estimated cost of these projects is over Rs 13,000 crore.

These mega infrastructural developments in the region will usher in major economic activities, creating jobs and business opportunities. The expressways will also offer signal-free ride to commuters between NCR cities from Kundli and have a positive impact on the realty sector as connectivity plays an important role in the decision of buying property.

Experts say that these express ways, once complete, will change the real estate scenario of Kundli and enhance the investment climate of the whole region. Improved connectivity will also boost other development activities in the region, especially in the growth and profile of Rajeev Gandhi Education City coming up here.
Top realty players like TDI Infracorp, Ansal API, Jindal Real Estate, Eldeco, Parker, Omaxe, Parsvnath, Vardhman, Apex Developers, etc, have invested here in a big way, lining up projects in various IT parks, SEZs, and in the special biotech city, cyber city, and fashion city. Kundli is also host to a number of top malls and entertainment facilities. TDI is the premier developer in the region with over 1,250 acres in land bank.
These infrastructure projects are also expected to push industrial activities in the industrial hubs located in their contact zones in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and to some extent in Delhi as well.
The Export Promotion Park in Kundli, Murthal Industrial Area, Rai industrial Area, and Sonipat Industrial Area (all in Sonipat, Haryana) would have fast and easy access to other industrial hubs like steel and chemical industry in Ghaziabad, electronics industry in Noida, plastic and auto industry in Faridabad, etc.
At long, the stainless steel utensil makers based in Kundli's Export Promotion Park will find it easier to reach out to the Moradabad-based brass and steel-polishing units, and use their expertise in stainless steel utensil industry in the region. In turn, industrial hubs of the NCR region, connected through the twin e-ways, would have the luxury of easy and smooth access to the warehouses in Sonipat.
